Ulrich von Engelbrecht was the son of Sir Caspar von Engelbrecht, a nobleman in the Lesser Kingdoms, and twin brother of Verena von Engelbrecht. He was a knight who served in the army of the Lesser Kingdoms, and supposedly died in battle during the Lightwar.
